Yesterday was an eventfull day. We had an intense photosession with almost the whole vidvinkel.net crew, taking pictures for the August issue of the Trädgården paper. A club magazine we produce for Stockholms largest out door club. Written in Swedish, you can check out the pdfs of the two latest issues here:

Yesterday was also the day I intervued the former host of the swedish film review television show Filmkrönikan Orvar Säfström for the same magazine. I usually record my interviews on my cell phone because you can easily move the file to your computer and switch between programs while writing the intrerview down. While retrieving this file i rediscovered an old love. The cell phone camera is the new nostalgic retro but in the same time delightfully contemporary. It's so easy to capture special moments and you don't have to carry the whole photographer role.

These are some randome pictures from this spring, all in black and white because the noise in the pictures work better that way and i can't manage to make my camera take pictures that aren´t all grey already. When i first got the phone they were all right. But i actually like black and white pictures more and more since I started using my dads old analog camera. The lack of color inhances the documentary feel of there spontanious pictures.

I usually get really uncomfortable in large public places with my camera. I have a pretentious idea about this. It's not the camera it's the pictures, i don't like to show myself as a photographer because people will ask you about your camera or where and when you have worked with what. Showing my pictures first are always more comfortable and taking pictures among friends. It's like there really are too many of us, especially when we are gathered at the same place.

With all these ideas in me I still brought my camera to Accelerator festival i Stockholm by the university. It was heavy and I only brought it up in special occasions and I didn't take any pictures on bands. I fokused on the crowd, something that I usually think always could be done more properly. Mostly because pictures are so personal that you always relate in a better way to your own friends or expeerinces than others.

So these are fractures of my memories of Accelerator, thanks to all the people that i hung out with but I will never forgive the guard at my own workplace Trädgården who kicked me out on Saturday.

I once had something called fotolog, when i first heard about it, it sounded quite obvious for someone involved with images to have. It was a nice time, but my space there felt really off so I quite submiting new pictures there. This is my new attempt to regularly show images and support them with my thoughts about them.
Based on my mood for the day i'll changebetween Swedish and English on this blog.

After I give myself some thought I will publish something about myself and my photography. For now this is Anna and her collection of Weetabix. I've never really regularly carried my camera around but instant ideas like this are always worth something. I just thought she looked so pretty in her dress that matched cupboards and the contrast to consumption values that are clear in the ever repeating pattern of labels. But patterns are nice to, and you can play with these little boxes like a naive little child.
